My life is grounded in an abiding relationship with Jesus, who continually shapes my heart for people and His mission. I’ve been married to my wife, Jen, for 14 years, and together we share the privilege of raising our two kids—Hudson, 12, and Paisley, 8—who bring us daily joy.
Since 2003 I served the public as a firefighter and paramedic in both California and northern Indiana. Over the last 12 years, however, my greatest joy has been serving the local church in various ways, including as a church planter, pastor, and as a worship director. I have a passion for helping people grow in Christ through intentional discipleship and gospel-centered preaching.
“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.” 2 Timothy 4:2
Jen and I began the journey of planting Mercy Hill Chapel in 2021, and launched the church in early 2023. As lead pastor, I provided vision for the church, administrated church business, oversaw ministry teams, and preached biblically-based, gospel centered sermons.
At Harvest church I developed a vision and strategy for launching Mercy Hill Chapel in Indianapolis, IN. I served in several ministry capacities at Harvest and preached both at Harvest and several other family churches.
My wife and I helped plant Gospel Community Church in Goshen, Indiana in 2019. The church is a thriving sall town church where I served in lay-leadership from 2019-2021 and joined the staff in 2021 to coordinate community outreach efforts.
My wife and I helped plant Palmdale Community Church in 2013. This church exists as a thriving urban, inner-city church with a multi-cultural ministry. While at Palmdale Community Church I coordinated and led all aspects of worship and production ministry, led the young adult ministry, and managed the IT infrastructure.
I received my baccalaureate which included an expositional preaching emphasis. I graduated with high honors.
As a business management degree, this program focused on organizational leadership.
